"The Scriptures also say to the Gentiles, “Come and celebrate with God’s people.”"
Who We Are
Cornerstone is a community of Jesus followers in Orangeburg and Bamberg, SC. We exist to help disconnected people find, follow, and be like Jesus.
What do we mean by disconnected?
We believe that sin causes a deep separation in our relationships with God and each other. This is why we never stumble into great friendships. This separation has affected every area of our lives. But through Jesus, we can now be in real, life-giving relationships with both God and others.
Where We Come From
Cornerstone Church was started in 1995 by several families. Back then, these families imagined a church that was truly welcoming to everyone - where everyone was welcome regardless of personal history, family background, ethnicity, or gender.
Connect | Care | Cultivate
We believe in helping people who are disconnected from God by following a three part cycle.
The first step in this process is to connect with each individual. Everyone has a unique story, past, and purpose for the kingdom of God. We do this through a variety of ways, but most significant, through our Group Ministry.
Next comes Care. The old saying, "No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care" is true. We desire to provide true Biblical care to all those who call Cornerstone home, whether that is emotional, physical, or spiritual care.
Like a garden, all of us need proper nurturing, direction, and protection to grow us into the people God calls us to be. This is accomplished through our Biblical teaching, Godly community, encouragement of serving, and other actions.
What This Means for You
More than ever, Cornerstone is committed to fostering a family built around our mission: To help people disconnected from God find, follow, and be like Jesus. To hope for the better, for progress, and most importantly, in Jesus. As we move forward as a church family, we will continue to be a place where anyone can find a community as we pursue relationship with Jesus.
