The cKids Ministry Coordinator

The cKids Ministry Coordinator directs and oversees the children's Ministry (Birth-5th Grade) of Cornerstone Church.

The cKids Ministry Coordinator strives to make all kids and families feel welcome. The cKids Ministry Coordinator does this by building relationships with kids and their families and by creating safe spaces for kids to learn about Jesus at age-appropriate levels. The cKids Ministry Coordinator must possess the ability to lead others and have a desire to reach the next generation for Christ.

Most importantly, the cKids Ministry Coordinator should demonstrate a hunger for God and possess a passion for leading Cornerstone's kids and families into that same hunger.

Essential Duties:
• Oversee all ministries for children ages birth-5th Grade, including Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, summer events, special events, etc
• Create safe environments, activities, and events for each age group to facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth
• Maintain a relevant strategy for influencing kids during the most influential time of their life
• Chose and prepare curriculum for each ministry event and each age level
• Have a deep and growing personal relationship with the Lord
• Able to work as a team player, cooperating with the church leaders, staff, and Heroes (volunteers)
• Develop positive relationships with kids and parents
• Provide care for children and families within the church, including hospital visits
• Help grow campus attendance by creating and implementing a strategy that connects families into the church through cKids ministry
• Plan and oversee special events (cKids Celebration, Daddy Daughter Date Night, Baby Dedications, etc)
• Work within Cornerstone's Hero (volunteer) Process and with the Hero Ministry team
• Monitor the children's ministry budget throughout the year
• Assist additional campus cKids ministry staff and leaders with ideas, training, and execution of weekly services
• Help hire, train, and manage paid childcare employees
• Be a model for those who attend Cornerstone by being an example of personal integrity, discipleship, and evangelism
• Be available for projects outside of children's ministry when asked by the Lead Pastor

Children's Minister Requirements:
• Evident relationship with Jesus Christ
• Ability to lead by example
• Competent in leadership abilities to include organization, delegation, administration, and interpersonal relationships
• Able to identify and fix in the moment problems
• Available to work every Sunday (minus being sick or approved leave)
• A team player and team builder who focuses on the good of the entire organization
• Love for children and families
• Leadership ability
• Good communicator, both verbal and written
• Good organizational skills
• Good administrative skills
• Proficient understanding of challenges facing families
• Possess computer skills and proficiency with social media
• Available to work extended hours, evenings, over weekends and public holidays, and on short notice

General Job Expectations:
• 40 hours per week
• Participates in staff meetings and leadership training sessions
• Bring any frustrations or complaints to your direct report instead of vocalizing them publicly
• Represent yourself in a Godly way on social media (absolutely zero political posts or engagements)
• Show honor and respect to your leaders and co-workers
